ChanceTanz

ChanceTanz supports extra-curricular dance projects for children and adolescents who grow up in educationally disadvantaged situations. The projects are carried by local associations and organized by a teacher team of a minimum of two persons with at least one being a professional dance artist.  

The local associations consist of three different organizations which ensure the dance artistic expertise, reaching the target group and the sociospatial embedding.

As program partner of the Federal ministry for education and research, between 2018 until 2022 Aktion Tanz – Bundesverband Tanz in Bildung und Gesellschaft e.V. is receiving up to 7.5 million Euros within the funding program “Kultur macht stark. Bündnisse für Bildung“ that then are given to projects selected by an expert jury.
