The contemporary dance company SZENE 2WEI was founded in 2009 by Timo Gmeiner and William Sánchez H. in Essen. It creates art that questions, stimulates thought and does not shy away from discussion and discourse.
The aim is to seek dialogue with people and to use art as a universal language to explore different ways of communicating. SZENE 2WEI has been based in the Black Forest since 2013. Here, the company is particularly dedicated to rural areas and thus contributes to enriching the regional cultural scene.
