Rodolfo Piazza Pfitscher da Silva | Halle 73 in Werder | May 10 -12 & May 15 – 18, 2023

For the TWD residency at Halle73 in Werder/Havel, I made a conscious decision not to pursue a specific artistic work on a particular topic, but rather to focus on how I prefer to move, honestly and independently of dance techniques. The aim was to create a class for all levels and to encourage people who have no contact with dance to take part. As a product, I gave an open class at the end of the residency, which was attended by many participants (although mainly from my circle of friends).

An important aspect of the residency was networking with dance and art professionals from the region, as I myself live half of the time in a village near Werder. The Halle73 site has a ‘magic of beginnings’ about it. A farm shop, two recording studios and several dance and movement studios are being created in the former carpentry and boatbuilding premises. The moment of encounter could not have been better for me.
